I am a local father of two and alongside running my construction business, I have been fully invested in running the logistics side of things for Just Shelter. I initially designed and built shelters in the Calais Jungle and have since led teams of volunteers to run distributions in the woods. I am also a Trustee for Just Shelter.

I am local dad, illustrator and passionate activist. I campaign to raise awareness on the climate emergency and the links with increasing refugee movements globally. I have been a volunteer with Just Shelter since 2015 designing flyers, creating artwork and travel regularly to northern France with our teams to document the situation on the ground.

I became chair of trustees in late 2024 , having been volunteering with Just Shelter since 2020. I am a local mum of two and work in the public sector and it has been a privilege to work with the volunteers and wider community in Earlsfield since I became involved . I believe fervently in a fairer society which treats all with compassion, empathy and respect , where the positive contributions refugees can make are valued and welcomed.

As a primary school teacher I am fully committed to ensuring that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their starting points or circumstances. Working with Just Shelter to fundraise or teach displaced children means I can make a small difference in the lives of those who are journeying to find a safer place.
Rosie
Trustee / Committee Member
I support the various Just Shelter fundraising events as well as travelling to France with the team to teach displaced children. As a primary school teacher, one of the most rewarding parts of my job is engaging children so that they have fun whilst learning. Even though our time with displaced children on each trip is short, helping them to forget their circumstances for even a brief moment whilst focusing on learning, makes a small but important difference to their day.
