Just Sharing
We’re delighted to announce that last week, and for the first time since November 2019, we were able to hold a covid-safe Just Sharing dinner at Home Community Cafe!
We hosted 30 local asylum seekers through our links with Care4Calais for a delicious three course meal, cooked by Meg and Asher from Home Community Cafe, made possible by using proceeds from our popular Just Supper events (For more information about Just Supper and our other initiatives, click here).
Our guests were first taken on a guided walk by local resident and creator of Summerstown182, Geoff, before arriving at Home Community Cafe for the meal. While eating, guests were also treated to some wonderful music by long-time Just Shelter supporter Jake and friend Andy.
Without the dedicated support of everyone involved, this event would not have been able to happen. Thank you to everyone who took part, we can’t wait to host more Just Suppers and Just Sharing’s soon.
