Just Sleep Out
No Festivals = No Tents For Refugees.
Normally charities receive up to 250,000 tents that would otherwise go to waste after UK festivals. However, due to festivals being postponed because of Covid-19, there will now be a lack of second hand tents available, which will cause further hardship to displaced people in Northern France.
Just Shelter are therefore inviting you to camp out for the night in your garden - or create a den if no garden is available - to raise funds for us to buy tents to be distributed by our partners in the Calais/Dunkirk area. We’re aiming to raise at least £1,000 so please share this event with friends and family up and down the country!
Please post a photo of yourself in your tent or den on social media between 8 and 9pm on Saturday 4th July, tagging either @justshelter on Instagram, @justshelterearlsfield on Facebook or @justshelter1 on Twitter and using the hashtag #justsleepout. Our team of judges will be awarding a prize for the best decorated tent or den, so get creative!
